One Person Dead, Several Others Injured After Pair of Accidents Along I-40 West
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/WREG) — Un par de accidentes a lo largo de la carretera interestatal 40 cerca de Canadá Road en el área de Lakeland el miércoles por la mañana temprano dejó una persona muerta y varios otros heridos.
Un portavoz del Departamento de Bomberos del Condado de Shelby dijo que un par de tractocamiones estuvieron involucrados en una colisión alrededor de la 1:45 am, mientras respondía al accidente, una ambulancia del Condado de Shelby golpeó a un patrullero de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Shelby y un vehículo que pertenece a la Patrulla de Caminos de Tennessee, dijo el portavoz.

MEMPHIS, TN (WREG) — A pair of accidents along Interstate 40 near Canada Road in the Lakeland area early Wednesday morning left on person dead and several others injured.
A spokesperson for the Shelby County Fire Department said a couple of tractor trailers were involved in a collision around 1:45 a.m. While responding to the accident, a Shelby County ambulance hit a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office cruiser and a vehicle that belongs to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the spokesperson said.
Two firefighters on the ambulance and one of the truck drivers were injured. Several hours later, a spokesperson with the THP told to the news outlet that one of the truck drivers had died.
The two accidents left I-40 shutdown for hours. It was eventually reopened shortly before 8:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash involving the truck drivers is still under investigation, authorities said.
